Today’s post is going to focus on the Smokin’ Hot Palette by BarryM. This is my favourite palette to use when I want a dramatic smokey eye look. I’ve swatched each shade for you below so you can see how pigmented the shadows are. On to the palette itself, like all of BarryM’s palettes it comes with 6 eyeshadows and a blush. It comes in a sleek black packaging with magnetic closure, complete with a decent size mirror and two double-ended sponge eyeshadow applicators, which makes it perfect for travelling.
Starting with the blush shade, this is described on the packaging as a “hot peach” and it’s pretty accurate. Because of the vibrancy and high pigmentation of the blush it requires very little product to get the desired effect on the cheeks.
Now for the eyeshadows. Like I said there are 6 shadows in this palette, 5 of them are shimmer 1 is matte and they’re super smokey! The first shade is a stunning shimmer Ivory highlight colour. Second is a shimmery peach which looks great as an all over lid base colour. The third shade is a shimmer mid-tone silver and the fourth is a shimmer gunmetal shade. The last two shades are both black and there’s a shimmer and a matte. They are so pigmented and gorgeous and look absolutely stunning on the eyes!
